Awww, that's sweet of you. But I understand the sentiment. I know a former lieutenant who felt sort of the same way. He was still devoted to his duty, even after being locked in a magic forest for more than thirty years. We promoted him to general when he returned home and he took his place within the royal guard again as if nothing had happened.

But if something dangerous happens, I think you should help children and the elderly first. Because they'll have a lot more difficulty defending themselves, or getting somewhere safe.

Of course, always. It disheartens me to see so many children here as well. A cruel ruler he is, yet, we know so little about this kidnapper. Regardless, know that you are welcome to my services should the need arise.

Do you think you could launch an investigation into Vaeros? Since we know so little about him? Or is that not something knights do?

I indeed can try, but from what I have gathered thus far. Vaeros has not been seen in a year, and this is a statement that comes from those who have been here for a year.

He hasn't been seen in a year? Really? I thought there was an incident where he tried to kidnap the moon (who was a beautiful woman) and he was put to sleep by some of the people here who tried to free her?

What a strange tale. Yet if it is true, have they simply not seen him otherwise? Is he truly so absent?

I don't know... I didn't hear the full story, only a mention that it happened.

Maybe we should arrange for some sort of story night! Get as many of us as possible together, and those who've been here longer tell all the thrilling tales of what they've witnessed so far. (With snacks.)
